The Latvian midfielder, Eduart Emsis, joined Egnatia from January 2023, as at the end of this season he left the Rrogozhinas club as a failure. With the small minutes he had on the field of play, mostly used on the field as a substitute, Emsis never appeared at the level of the other starters the team had.

Meanwhile, it is interesting that today, the former midfielder of Egnatia managed to find the net with the national team of Latvia, in the valuable duel for the European qualifiers against Turkey. Emsis headed home in the 51st minute to tie the game temporarily.
