Broken glasses and plates on the floor, while the outside of a bar/restaurant is completely destroyed! This is the panorama in one of Dortmund's bars on Wednesday evening, just before the semi-finals of the European Championship.
According to the police, a mass brawl broke out between opposing fans of the Dutch and English national teams in the center of Dortmund, between the old market and Kleppingstrasse.
According to BILD information, at least four people were injured before the match. They are currently receiving care in the emergency services. Ten people were arrested.
Apparently the English fans had hung a flag outside the shop - which the Dutch didn't like. The owner of the bar, Leo, said that the Dutch set it on fire, while the English tried to take it back, and a wild fight broke out. The police had to take action against the group with large forces. Sticks were also used to separate the angry fans.
