Granit Xhaka "stings" Arsenal: The transfer to Leverkusen was a move two steps ahead!

Granit Xhaka moved to Bayer Leverkusen last year, after ending his 7-year adventure with Arsenal.

Although the Gunners wanted to keep the Albanian midfielder who plays for Switzerland, he refused for a new adventure in Germany. This move paid off for the Switzerland captain, who was crowned champion with "aspirins" in an unforgettable Bundesliga season without a single defeat.

In an interview given to "Bild", Xhaka stated that with his team he will try to win the title again, but by throwing a "pin" for his former club.

"Moving from Arsenal to Bayer Leverkusen was not a step back, but on the contrary, it was two steps forward. Now, we have to do better than last season" , said Xhaka.
