
The Special Olympics World Games are taking place in Germany. A tournament that offers opportunities to unite the world in a way like no other. People with disabilities, of different nationalities, cultures, politics, religions participate in this tournament, who come together in the name of sport to show the world something unique.
This tournament started on June 17 and will end on the 25th in Berlin, where 7,000 special athletes from 190 countries compete in 26 sports. Of course, Albania is also a part. Our country is represented by a delegation of 10 athletes and 11 coaches.
Gersi Troka, the boy with Down syndrome, has raised the Albanian flag at the top of Europe. Gersi participated in the 200 meter freestyle swimming race, where he managed to secure the first place, bringing a gold medal to Albania.
