Fighting drought in Catalonia, Barcelona players forced to shower at home

The drought has affected Spain, especially the region of Catalonia, which may also have consequences in professional football, as according to weather forecasts, no rain is expected in the region in the coming weeks.

For this reason, the local government of this region is taking measures to save water in the face of its lack. One of the measures that is being considered affects the Barcelona team and predicts that the Blaugrana footballers will not shower in the sports centers.

This also applies to other teams in this region, such as Espanyol or the leader of the Spanish championship, Girona, whose players will not be able to shower after the matches!

However, at the moment the measure has not yet entered into force. Shortly before the launch of this thesis, Barcelona and Girona signed a commitment to cope with the drought.
