A very special moment for the Albanian national team defender, Jon Mersinaj, who has made his debut in the Croatian football elite, scoring his first goal after 123 appearances in this championship.
The 26-year-old scored in the 75th minute with Osijek's jersey, in the duel against Šibenik, where his team was defeated with a score of 4-1.
Mersinaj has been part of the Croatian championship since the 2019-2020 season, while until the January transfer window of this year, he wore the Lokomotiva Zagreb jersey, but was unable to score a single goal, while in his third appearance with Osijek he found the net.
In total, Mersinaj has 123 appearances in the Croatian championship, with this being his first goal.
The Albanian defender has also played 12 games in the Croatian Cup and 1 in the Europa League, but had never been able to score before.
