Elvis Rexhbeçaj has been officially confirmed as a Wolfsburg player today, marking his return to the club where he began his career in the Bundesliga. Although he is currently part of Augsburg with a contract valid until the end of the season, the 28-year-old has decided to sign a long-term deal with the new club until June 30, 2030.
According to the announcement, the Albanian midfielder will join Wolfsburg on a free transfer at the end of this season. His decision comes at a difficult time for the club, which currently holds the penultimate place in the Bundesliga standings.

Despite Wolfsburg's sporting situation, Rexhbeçaj has chosen to return for emotional and professional reasons, describing this step as an important decision in his career.

However, the midfielder has made it clear that for now he remains focused on his current team, Augsburg, with whom he aims to end the season in the best possible way.
