Paulo Dybala made a big fuss with his decision a few days ago. The Argentinian footballer refused a 3-year contract from Saudi Arabia, from which he would benefit from a full 75 million euros.
In an interview given to "Sky Sport Italia", Dibala revealed the reason why he decided not to transfer to Al Qadsiah.
" Everyone thinks about money. But I put a lot of things in front of me to make a choice. My family, my wife, the city, the team and the desire to return to the national team. I am 30 years old, I feel good. Even though I see a lot of criticism about injuries, I try to work as hard as I can every day.
Of course, I can't say I wasn't shocked when I saw that money figure. However, there are many other things to consider and that was the reason for my decision ."
Dybala also cleared up rumors about his agent, saying he just wanted to see him happy.
" Nothing changes for my agent. I have heard that he will lose a lot of money, but it is not true. He just wanted me to be happy with the choice. He's not just an agent for me, he's a friend and he wants to see me happy ."
Dybala will be part of Roma, with whom he has a contract until the summer of 2025.
