The Spanish driver of Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, secured pole position this afternoon at the Monza track, valid for the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1. He set a time of 1'20"294, beating by only 13 thousandths Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who came second.
This is the fourth "pole" in his career for Sainz, who throughout these two days showed that he was fast, just like Ferrari. In third place was Sharls Leklerk from Monogas with the other "redhead", with only 67 thousandths more than his teammate.

However, both Italian cars are under investigation, because they ran the exit lap over the time limit of 1'41" in the first session of the official tests. The decision will be made later.
In fourth place was George Russell with Mercedes, behind Sergio Perez with Red Bull and Alexander Albon with Williams. Piastri (McLaren), Hamilton (Mercedes), Norris (McLaren) and Alonso (Aston Martin) were also classified in the top ten. The Italian race will take place on Sunday.
