30 years since the Srebrenica genocide, President Begaj: The worst massacre

President Bajram Begaj recalled today, on the International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide, the tragic massacre that occurred 30 years ago, where over 8,000 Bosniak boys and men were killed by the Serbian army, while thousands more were forced to flee their homes.

President Begaj emphasized the importance of commemorating this event and emphasized everyone's daily responsibility to preserve peace.

"30 years ago, the worst massacre that Europe has experienced since World War II took place in Srebrenica. More than 8,000 Bosnian boys and men were massacred by the Serbian army and thousands more were expelled from their homes. Today, on the International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide, we stand with the families who continue to bear the deep pain of their loved ones who were victims of this genocide.

"30 years later, Srebrenica reminds us of the importance of the daily action of each of us in the service of peace ," wrote President Begaj.
