The 27th protest begins. Thousands of citizens have begun gathering towards the Prime Minister's Office building, to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Protesters of various age groups, including parents accompanied by their children, joined the rally. Holding banners and national flags, the participants marched towards the Prime Minister's Office, repeating calls against the government.
Slogans such as " Down with the dictatorship," "Rama resigns," and "Revolution, new Albania" were heard during the protest . These calls reflect the protesters' positions and their demands on the government.
The protesters also unfurled a large banner with the inscription "The Cham issue requires action."
A citizen from Kosovo also joined the march to the Prime Minister's Office. He emphasized that Albanians are united, regardless of which side of the border they live on.
"As in Kosovo, as in Albania, we are all Albanians. When there are irregularities, we all react," he said, underlining the solidarity among Albanians.
This is the 27th march held as part of the protest action they have been undertaking for weeks. They have also announced that the protest will continue with a nationwide rally on Saturday, which they present as a mobilization against what they call the "old political caste."
Numerous State Police forces are engaged in the smooth running of the protest and monitoring the situation.
