Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu commented on Safet Gjic's video scandal. Alma K., who appears in the video with former mayor Safet Gjici in his office, negotiated with many politicians and deliberately did not go to the Prosecutor's Office.
" Why did Alma K. meet all those politicians and negotiate with who knows how many people for registration and did not go to the prosecutor's office and say: I am facing sexual harassment and a favor is being asked of me. I want to apply for a tender, but this man asks me for sexual favors and I want to register him. Why didn't he go to the prosecutor's office to have the registration done according to the procedure requested by the prosecutor's office? So, the Prosecution had to get approval from the court for Safet Gjici to record the conversation with Alma. Then it would not be a political blackmail, it would be a criminal proceeding against Safet. This is where the whole debate begins" , he said in "Top Story".
Analyzing the reasons why Alma K. filmed Gjici, Arjan Curri expresses doubts that Alma K. aimed for a large monetary gain.
" He had no intention of going to the Prosecutor's Office at all. First, it was meant to take that scene from Safet. Second, she either used that scene to her advantage, but I don't think the whole thing was done for a dog tender, or the lady was infiltrated as claimed. According to me, this lady would use this video to achieve other blackmails, or sell Safet to bring him down, or may make a political enemy. Or they would be used to get a lot of money from Safet, because we know he is a rich man ," he said.

Currently, former mayor Gjici is behind bars under the charge of passive corruption and abuse of office.
