"Berisha made the balcony a political pulpit", Kikia: Language towards

The analyst Mentor Kikia has commented on the political developments at the beginning of this year, which started with the appearance of Berisha and Meta in SPAK.

Yesterday, the DP leader went with the militants to the entrance of the prosecutor's office in implementation of the mandatory appearance measure, while Meta was questioned today by the prosecutors as he went through the tunnel that connects SPAK with prison 313.

Kikia says that it is Berisha's nature to turn the area in front of SPAK into a political tribune, as he did with the balcony of the house when he was under house arrest.

"Mr. Berisha is free and the entrance to the prosecutor's office is through open areas where supporters have the opportunity to accompany him. It seems that Berisha will turn the gatherings into a routine and a place for conferences. Just as he turned the balcony into a political pulpit. He is turning it into a political activity Berisha is not questioned about certain issues. The file is presented to prove his physical presence. He is in isolation and has no contact with the environment external and the transfer to the prosecutor's office is done through an entrance, a tunnel that connects the prison to the prosecutor's office. Since you are talking about the change, I believe that this is a big change. It is also a choice to not create gatherings of supporters when you go to be interrogated. Even the lack of physical presence may not motivate people", said the analyst on Report Tv.

For Kikia, Berisha scores an own goal with the language he uses towards SPAK, being an institution with great popularity among the citizens.

"There is an unnecessary relationship between PD, Berisha and a part of the deputies close to him in relation to SPAK. We can all have objections to SPAK, but in the end labeling a state structure as a criminal organization is unnecessary. Berisha has I have all the space to denounce the implication of the opponents towards the DP, but the harsh language with the prosecution, harmful", emphasized Kikia.

He adds that Berisha should have had a more moderate language.

"To get power you have to collect votes. Attacking SPAK when it has so much support from the citizens is an own goal. Throw a stone that falls on your head. Berisha should have moderated his language, but when he is faced with accusations he is guided by the instinct of the man who it will harm the DP, beyond the boomerang this type of language is unacceptable for the institutional structures of the partners, it is not accepted in any western country unimaginable. Berisha should have been more restrained. The PD is a big opposition party," he said.

Berisha and other leaders of political parties in Albania are more like company CEOs, says Kikia, who appoint and dismiss MPs or party members.

"There is no democracy in Albanian political parties. The one who decides on the lists is the chairman. It has happened since 1992. It happened to the big parties, it will happen to the small parties. The chairman is more of a CEO", said Kikia.

Regarding the vote of the diaspora, Kikia emphasizes that this is an important process and one should not lose the trust that has been created.

"We are talking about a voter scattered in the four corners of the world. The opposition hopes it will be a vote in its favor. It is just a wish and has no scientific basis. The vote of Albanian citizens living abroad is not simply a constitutional right. I expect a turnout in the voting acceptable in numbers. Because of the interest that the late immigrants continue to have close relations with their country. The vote of immigrants is tested for the first time. If the process fails, great harm to democracy", said Kikia.

He sees the political distribution of opposition parties as problematic, as they are thus powerless against the majority and endangers new parties.

"Today the opposition configuration is the most disintegrated. PD with the classic grouping. A group of new parties has appeared on the scene that have not been part of any alliance. There is an invitation within them to organize in a third pole. But each wants to preserve the structure own. There are inconsistencies in philosophies. If they were to join together, the situation would become more interesting. If the new parties each remain on their own, there will be two main actors, the SP and the DP, he said the analyst.
