GJKKO has postponed the decision on the appeal of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha on the measure of "House Arrest".
The announcement of the decision will be made on 25.01.2024, at 09:00.
In the Special Appeal today, a hearing was held for the appeal of Sali Berisha for the measure of house arrest for the 'Partizani' affair, as well as the exclusion of Irena Gjoka from his case, the judge who ordered the measure of personal security against the former prime minister.
The session continued from 09:00, while the two lawyers of Berisha appeared and the request was examined by the judge of the Special Appeal, Ilirjana Olldashi. Berisha's 'freedom' is in the hands of judge Olldashi, who released his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, from the cell.
It was Berisha who, through his lawyers, appealed the GJKKO's decision of the 30th, which left him under house arrest, while seeking a more lenient measure. We remind you that yesterday for about 2 hours the former prime minister testified before the prosecutors Arben Krajes and Enkelejda Millonai.
After leaving SPAK, Berisha claimed to the media that he was the one who had interrogated the prosecutors, while harshly attacking the Rama government and SPAK, as a dependent institution.
