We remind you that today a hearing will be held for Fredi Beleri regarding the examination of the appeal against the decision that refused him the special permission to be sworn in as mayor.
The Special Court of Appeal previously postponed the hearing until January 24, since in the last hearing the legal representative of the General Directorate of Prisons was without a power of attorney.
We recall that Fredi Beleri was arrested in the premises of a bar in Himare, just 2 days before the local elections on May 14, after he was caught red-handed with his colleague Pandeli Kokaveshi buying votes.
Fredi Beleri, who won the local elections on May 14, was arrested on May 12, on suspicion of passive corruption in the election carried out in collaboration.
Two days before the May 14 local elections, Beleri was arrested on charges of active corruption in elections or vote buying.
