For 11 days, four families in the village of Cernalevë, Kukës, have remained isolated in their homes, following a significant landslide.
The landslide has cut off the road leading to their homes, as well as the main axis connecting Borje, Oreshkë and Cernaleva with the city of Kukës, paralyzing movement in the area.
According to residents, the problem is related to the pipeline of a hydroelectric power plant, as water accumulated on the mountain slope has caused mudslides and landslides.
As a result of the collapse, livestock stables and two homes were damaged, while the landslide remains active and keeps the area in uncertainty.
Heavy rain and snowfall during January have caused extensive damage to roads and bridges in remote areas of Kukes, leaving residents isolated for days.
