Lawyer Saimir Visha has commented on the barbaric violence against lawyer Sokol Mëngjesi.
Saimir Visha said that crime has taken revenge on the justice bodies.
He added that this event is a continuation of previous events, while drawing attention to the judge in Shkodër who had explosives placed on his door, as well as another lawyer who was threatened.
"Violence against the lawyer Mêngjesi has nothing to do with the former Prime Minister, but with the duty of the lawyer. This issue did not come by chance yesterday, but it should have been resolved earlier so that we do not end up in this situation where Professor Mêngjesi is today ," Visha said.
Describing the perpetrators of the attack on the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi as cannibals, Visha said that they cannot be punished for a minor injury, or as if something ordinary had happened.
He said that touching any employee of the justice system should have a heavier criminal penalty.
"In this particular case, we have an attempted murder, and an attempted murder with premeditation is punishable by no less than 20 years of imprisonment. It is not for nothing that the place was determined, it was not for nothing that these people were organized, it was not for nothing that he was hit in the head, so we do not have a minor injury, but we have an attempted murder with premeditation", said Visha.
Among other things, lawyer Saimir Visha said that political forces should not color this event.
