Journalist Ervis Hasanaga, arrested for fake news with the purpose of denigrating police leaders, has expressed regret to the police.
He admitted that he was aware of the work he was doing, but he needed the money.
"I have regretted this work. I realized it was risky, but I needed the money. I should have doubted the materials they gave me, before publishing them, I should have done a verification. It had been a long time since I fell asleep from this. I regret it", he says.
The Head of Sector at AMP Kushtrim Selimi through the portal (shqipneës.info) that he had opened with another official of AMP Rexhina Omeri and journalist Ervis Hasanaga managed to publish articles about senior police leaders Muhamet Rrumbullaku, Neritan Nallbati, Rebani Jaupi, Florjan Sulejmani etc. with the aim of denigrating them in public through fake news.
Communication messages with other people with the intention of imposing fines were also found on the cell phones of the arrested.
