Journalist Ervin Dushi has reported that he was raped this evening in Shkodra by several people, in an event that he says is related to his public activity and a complaint made earlier.
According to the journalist's statements, the incident occurred around 8:00 PM, while the perpetrator of the violence is suspected to be citizen Prek Gjoni, known as the owner of the "Xhedis" supermarket chain, along with several other people who were with him.
Dushi claims that the conflict is related to a complaint he made some time ago in support of a market employee, who had a disagreement with the company owner.
After the incident, the journalist went to the Shkodra Police where he filed a criminal report for the violence inflicted on him.
" I will continue to pursue the matter through the institutions ," Dushi is reported to have declared after filing a police complaint.
So far, there has been no official reaction from the police regarding the circumstances of the incident or the people involved in the event, while investigations are expected to shed light on the full dynamics of the conflict.
