Qafë Thana Customs remains blocked, due to overturning of gas tanker truck

The Qafë Thana customs has not been operational since Tuesday morning, due to an accident near the border crossing where a gas-powered truck overturned.

Macedonian authorities have not yet allowed travelers to pass through this customs point, a key point connecting Albania with North Macedonia, and as a result, long queues and waits have been created at other border points, namely in Gorica and Tushemisht, reports 'Euronews Albania'.

"On Tuesday morning, we were notified by the North Macedonian police that on the 'Strugë-Qafë Thanë' road axis, about 3 km from the Macedonian customs, a gas-powered truck has blocked the road as a result of an accident," the police announced.
