A Greek official has visited the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, in prison.
It is about the chairman of the EU Association and Stability Committee, Manolis Kefalogiannis.
It is learned that the latter also held a meeting with Beler's son.
The MEP also held meetings with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the rapporteur of the Report on Albania's integration process, MEP Isabella Santos, who informed them about the developments on the Beleri case, as reported by the Greek media "Protothema".

Kefalogiannis asked her to take initiatives to end "immediately the unfair and discriminatory treatment of the president-elect".

Meanwhile, we remember that the Himara Municipal Council was also constituted a day ago, as GJKKO rejected Beler's request to participate in this ceremony and to be sworn in as the new head of this municipality.
