What is cooking with the "Bektashi state"? Artur Zheji: It cannot be

Analyst Artur Zheji commented on the Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order, a plan of Prime Minister Edi Rama published three days ago in the American newspaper New York Times.

According to him, Rama thinks figuratively, and then conceives visuality.

" A desert of ideas. An idea that can become something bigger that you have to approach. The Vatican is a state that is over 1800 years old, it was established there because St. Peter was buried. There are some stamps of the people who founded Europe. 25 popes have laid a stone. Stone culture is big ," said the analyst in "Top Story."

Zheji said that this is an idea that has many barriers, one of them being the need to make constitutional changes.

Asked if this decision has a political cost, the analyst said no, since according to him "Rama has displaced the target of the debate, in the end it means a lost chance, for something worldly to be in Albania. It will divert attention."

Zheji also emphasizes that according to him, the Bektashis are the most moderate and educated population, while he takes the Frashëri brothers as an example.

"The Bektashis are the most traditionally moderate and well-educated part, like the Frashëri brothers, who created the Albania we are today, they and many other Bektashis. The most radical category without insulting them is Dum Baba. The real revivalists were Catholics, Orthodox and Bektashis. Muslims are the last," he said.
