Sali Berisha's parliamentary immunity was removed with the vote of the democrat, Enkelejd ALibeaj, but for the opposition this was not a surprise at all.
Invited to A2 CNN, Bylykbashi has revealed for the first time that exactly this panorama that was recorded today in the Council of Mandates, was the reason why he refused to lift the MP's immunity.
"It is not a surprise, because he made a choice of himself, those deputies who are there were ahead of the occasion why there should be an immunity in the Constitution. Despite the advice, Berisha had a goal and said he would remove it from the constitution, we had the strongest possible version as the Germans have. At Rama's request to the internationals, I have negotiated with OPDAT, EURALIUS, where they told us that Rama is afraid that opposition MPs may be arrested. To use this immunity smells of political persecution, when there is a doubt that this is happening, then the parliament does not protect Berisha, but itself from this," Bylykbashi said on A2 CNN.
Bylykbashi insists that it is all a mobilization to eliminate Sali Berisha from the political game, as he emphasizes that even if his immunity was not removed, this would not prevent justice from doing its job.
"If his immunity was not taken away, the investigation would not be hindered at all, they would interrogate Berisha for the first time in 3 years, charge him, take him to court and sentence him, but the goal is what Felaj said, to get him out Berisha from the opposition leadership is mobilizing our people", concluded Bylykbashi.
The Mandates Council decided "in favor" of SPAK's request for the removal of Sali Berisha's immunity. SPAK's request was approved with 5 "pro" votes. of the majority to which was added the approval of Enkelejd Alibeaj on behalf of the Democratic Party.
Thus, the Council of Mandates decided with a unanimous vote to strip Sali Berisha of the immunity provided by the mandate of the deputy, in order to be made available to justice.
