The scandal deepens with the yacht seized by the police that was attempted to be stolen in Saranda.
The blue uniforms announced that 5 citizens have been arrested, four of whom are Egyptian. But the police have not revealed the fact that a name like Gjergj Luca is hidden behind this robbery.
According to the information, the following were arrested by the police: Andon Nako, Mohamed Elshamy, Samir Ghonim, Abdou Elzantawy and Ibrahim Aboushahin. They tried to retrieve the vessel by towing it with another fishing vessel. But according to information, the arrested are part of the company "Rozafa Fish", a company that has taken over the entire fishing monopoly in the country. The company is run by the oligarch, Gjergj Luca.
If we look back, the story becomes more interesting. In June 2023, a sailing ship, 15 meters long with the inscription "Bavaria 50", whose ownership was unknown, was found in neutral waters, about 51 miles from the island of Sicily in Italy.
The abandoned ship had no people on board, but water canisters and various packaging were found inside, raising suspicions that it could have been used for smuggling from the Middle East.
But you know who discovered it? A fishing vessel of Gjergj Luca's company, i.e. "Rozafa".
Her captain has notified the Captaincy of Sicily and the Delta Force of the Italian Police, who have carried out a physical check, during which they have not found any illegal items. Then the sailboat was taken by the captain of "Rozafa" and on June 14, the vessel arrived at the port of Limion in Saranda, where it was seized by the Border Police. Since then the vehicle has been blocked.
Since it was a "godless" vessel, it seems that Gjergj Luca has sent his men to rob this fishing vessel. What adds to the doubts is that we are dealing with 4 Egyptian citizens and in our country only "Rozafa" has employed fishermen from Egypt.
The question that arises is what did the Egyptians have to do with sailing? If they came directly from Egypt, how did they know where it was and how could they attempt such a robbery without being instructed by someone else. So it seems that they were simply ordered to go there, in the hope that if they were caught, the real responsible would not be able to come out, thinking that they come from Egypt. The facts show that the only ones who knew about the place where the ship was located were the fishermen of Luca.
Gjergj Luca, through the power given to him by Rama, seems that he has now started to command the courts and prosecutors, thinking that he is God in this country. It is learned that the robbery happened a few days ago and was a well thought out scenario. The police officers were bribed to get the vehicle out of the siege and no one would remember about this ship whose ownership is unknown. However, it is known that this act caused a stir in Saranda and forced the police to come out with a notice 3 days later, but without giving any clarifications about who the Egyptians are who committed the crime and who is hiding behind them. All the facts clearly show that there is only one man behind them and that is Gjergj Luca.
Police notification
They towed without permission a sailing vessel, seized by the Police, which was anchored in the port, 4 citizens were arrested and put in handcuffs.

The employee of the Saranda Border Police, who was responsible for guarding the sailing vessel, is being criminally prosecuted.
The services of the Sarandë Police Station, after receiving the notification that in the port of Limion, Sarandë, a sailing vessel that was seized in the last month of this year was seized by being towed by a fishing vessel, immediately organized the work and have started investigations related to the event, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Saranda and in cooperation with the Police Surveillance Agency (Vlora/Gjirokastër Region).
As a result of the engagement of the Vlora Border Police, Delta Force and Guardia di Finanza services, it became possible to find and block the sailing vessel, which was being towed by a fishing vessel on board of which the crew was located consisting of 5 citizens.
Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out for this case, the following citizens were arrested in the act:
- AN, 53 years old, fishing boat driver;
- AE, 55 years old, SG, 40 years old, ME, 43 years old and IA, 34 years old, all four Egyptian nationals, fishing workers.
These citizens are suspected of having, in cooperation with each other, stolen the sailing vessel seized by the Police, which was blocked in the port of Limion, with the claim that this sailing vessel was their property.
Also, following the actions for this case, the specialists of the Police Surveillance Agency (Vlora/Gjirokastër Region) referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the police officer inspector AM, with the duty of the service corps at the Police Station. Sarandë border, as he did not take measures to preserve the seized vessel and did not ascertain the absence of the vessel after leaving the service.
