Elia Zaharia is now officially divorced from Prince Leka. It is known that the Court of Tirana, on April 25, has decided to dissolve the marriage between Leka Zogu and the well-known actress. In the disclosed decision of the court, provided by BalkanWeb, it is said that the couple has based the request for divorce on three reasons.
Constant conflicts, lack of communication and interruption of cohabitation seem to have been the three strong reasons for the couple's divorce. Reasons which have been accepted by both the actress Zaharia and Leka, finally rejecting the hints that treason was the cause. Also in this decision it is determined that Elia will no longer keep the last name Zogu, but will return to her maiden name, Zaharia.
We recall that in March of this year, Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia were involved in an unusual event. They sued each other for violence. The situation took on the proportions of a serious event when footage of the violence inside the Royal Palace was published. Prince Leka, Elia Zaharia and the father of the latter, Gjergj Zaharia, went to the point of physical confrontation.
Two days after the event, on March 12, the Court of Tirana signed two protection orders for Prince Leka and Elia Zaharian, then in the divorce process. According to the protection order, the couple had to keep a distance of 5m from each other. The court did not issue a protection order to Elia Zaharija's father, Gjergj Zaharija, who was denounced by Prince Leka for violence.
Also, in the order of the Court of Tirana, it was specified that the Prince should not stay in the inherited Palace, while Elia should not be in the apartment at the moment that Leka will meet his daughter, the direct heir of the Royal Palace, Princess Geraldina. Meanwhile, Prince Leka has started a new relationship of love and coexistence with the photographer Blerta Celibashi.
