Journalist Arjan Konomi has made strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, his brother Olsi Rama and the mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, claiming that work is being carried out in the Vunoi area to open a road that, according to him, will serve to create access to a large area of land related to the Rama family.
In a reaction from the field, Konomi shows images of the works in the area and claims that the interventions have significantly changed the natural landscape.
" Look behind me, what that whole earthen dam looks like, the mountain of earth that has been created. But I want to show you now, look at this road with oak trees, extraordinary vegetation. Look at this horror, the trucks continue ," he says.
Further, the journalist directly accuses Vangjel Tavo and the Rama family of the project being developed in the area.
" The biggest scandal here is that Vangjel Tavo is doing it in collaboration with Edi Rama. Edi Rama, Olsi Rama and his cousins, here on these peaks where the Skutaraj monastery is located, down to the beach of Jala, there is talk of over 100 hectares of land related to Edi Rama and Olsi Rama ," Konomi declares.
According to him, the road opening works are being carried out because the area where these properties are located did not previously have adequate access.
" The entrance is being made to this area because there were gorges and cliffs here. That land is not accessible and all this is being done to create the opportunity to connect with the properties that go down to Jalë. From the side that goes down towards Jalë it is impossible to build or go because it is very steep ," he said.
Konomi stated that it has documents that, according to it, prove the claims raised over ownership and interests in this territory.
