The documentary of the Italian investigative show "Report" on RAI 3, caused a storm of reactions from the majority of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Albanian opposition.
Prime Minister Rama had a long-distance clash with the leaders of this show arguing about the scrupulousness of reporting the facts, according to him.
Rama claims that his secretary, Úngjëll Agaçi, sent the written answer to the questions of the journalist Giorgio Molotta, while the opposite was shown in the film material.
Journalist Giorgio Mottola stated that he had not received any answer from Agaçi, while it turned out that at this point Prime Minister Rama and Secretary Agaçi were right because the answers were sent by email.
The show "Report" aimed to bring out the "Rama-Meloni" agreement, as the expenses of the Gjadri camp were inflated and at a colossal cost to Italian citizens.
It is not yet known if Prime Minister Rama will start a legal process against this show, which he has accused as scandalous.
The Albanian Prime Ministers before Rama from Berisha, Meta and Nano have had many serious accusations from the Italian media, so much so that the cases ended up at the doors of the courts.
1997- Sali Berisha, Canale 5: "Striscia la Berisha"
A satirical show on Canale 5, made a show entitled: " Striscia la Berisha ", in 1997 where Albania found itself in an even darker period characterized by progressive financial uncertainty.
After the collapse of 50% of GDP in 1992, the transition from a rigid state economy to a capitalist one continued to prove slow and difficult.
In addition, a number of pyramid companies appeared that promised investors huge profits, but which quickly ended in failure, leaving a third of the inhabitants without their savings.
The President of the Republic Sali Berisha initially legitimized these investments, but after the collapse he distanced himself from them, remembering the private and non-state origin of the initiatives.
Riots erupted throughout Albania, forcing the government to declare a state of emergency.
Consequently, the landings in Italy resumed in the desperate search for a more stable and comfortable standard of living.
Antonio Ricci, author and creator of the satirical news program on Canale 5, decided to parody the Albanian situation by creating the daily scene " Striscia la Berisha ", a hypothetical Albanian version of the program.
That year's presenters, Gene Gnocchi and Tullio Solenghi, were then made up to look crooked, dressed in two jackets with an Eastern European flavor and moved to a second studio where everything looked modest.
Behind them was a dinghy, a symbol of emigration to Italy, and accompanying them, instead of the classic showgirls, appeared two very old ladies called "Valone".
2002: Fatos Nano: "Il Padrino dell'Albania....", newspaper L'Espresso
The former Albanian prime minister, Fatos Nano, has won a large sum of money with a well-known Italian magazine.
Everything has come after an article that "L'Espresso", an Italian weekly, published a few years ago with the title, " Il Padrino dell'Albania.... ".
The decision of January 21, 2010 was given by judge Dott. Terranova by the Court of Rome.
In the criminal process against "Gruppo Espresso Spa", the accusing party was former Prime Minister Fatos Nano, represented by the Italian Legal Studio with Av. Massimo Pisani and Av. Angel Agaci of the Chamber of Advocates of Rome.
2009- Ilir Meta, La Republica: "Le due verità dell'ex Albanian minister "Lavitola?
Valter Lavitola, former director of the newspaper 'Avanti', became known in Albania when Franko Fratini, who was accused of helping Lavitola in his affairs, was arrested in Italy.
Lavitola had asked to be present at a meeting between Ilir Meta and Fratini, at that time the chief diplomat.
Initially, both denied the meeting, but a photo disproved them. Meta himself jumped to Fratini's defense, denying acquaintances with Lavitola.
Ilir Meta has not given any interview to La Reppublica. This newspaper has defamed Mr. Ilir Meta. For this reason, Mr. Meta will sue this newspaper. Therefore, Mr. Meta feels obliged to pursue the La Republica newspaper legally for defamation against him, before the Italian courts", said the secretary of the LSI, Ardit Çela, at the time.
It is not yet known what happened to that trial in the event that the former foreign minister, Ilir Meta, dismissed it, as the former secretary of the LSI declared at the time.
2024- Edi Rama, "Report" on Rai 3: (Hot) Spot Albanian
The report in "Rai3" managed to make noise in both countries after an analysis of the migrant deal.
According to them, the guarantor of this agreement is the General Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, Úngjëll Agaçi.
Agaçi is described in the documentary as a lawyer for some drug traffickers in Italy, while an episode is revealed which after the broadcast was described as corrupt, the one related to Fabrizio Lisi, former head of the Guardia di Finanzia, to whom the Albanian trafficker Artur Shehu i donated 30 hectares of land by the sea, through Agac's mediation.
Agaçi himself calls the findings of Italian journalists slander, while he warned of a lawsuit against the program./ Vox
