Pastor Akil Pano spoke about the arrival of the first 16 immigrants in Shengjin. He said that the question that should be asked is how much the arrival of refugees will help Albania, based on the agreement between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Pano said that it is not about 10, 20 or 40 immigrants, as he adds that there are over 1 million refugees without status in Europe. The pastor says that this agreement has discriminatory notions.
"Amnesty International has described this experiment as dangerous. That agreement has discriminatory notions. From this agreement, these unfortunates are treated as waste, while we are treated as offspring", said Pano for "News 24".
He said that their destination is not Albania.
"This story was going to happen sooner or later. 1 million Albanians have left, this country has been depopulated, then how will we populate it. Maybe this is the way, bringing these immigrants", continued Pano.
The pastor said that the problems of this agreement have just started and the whole issue is being dealt with in this way, only having the opportunity to talk.
