Tourist cities and the Albanian coast are filled today with visitors from Kosovo, who have chosen to spend the Eid al-Adha holiday in our country.
The influx of arrivals began in the early hours of the morning, immediately after prayer, as thousands of Kosovar citizens headed to border crossings to spend the holiday near Albanian tourist destinations.
Unlike previous years, this time there were no long lines of vehicles at the border. This is due to the return of the facilitated crossing regime between Albania and Kosovo, a measure applied for several weeks as part of the summer season.
Border authorities report high movements throughout the day, while entries from Kosovo are expected to increase even more over the weekend, due to the holiday and the start of summer vacation.
