Monika Kryemadhi has objected to the GJKKO file against her and her ex-husband Ilir Meta, claiming that the investigation was based on rumors and not on concrete evidence.
During the hearing, Kryemadhi stated that the defense was unable to open the USB with the evidence of the cell phone inspection, as according to her, the password was incorrect.
"The USB with the evidence of the mobile phone examination will not open. It is true that I have it, I have the USB, I have downloaded and copied it. The problem is that the password is wrong. We have also taken the laptop and the USB to show them. The Israeli expert, who was paid 10 thousand USD to examine it, or to give us the password ," said Kryemadhi.
She also raised claims about the lack of materials related to environmental monitoring, saying that neither the decisions nor their products are in the file.
"There is nothing in the file for the 20 environmental wiretaps. There are over 20 wiretap decisions and we have neither the decisions nor their product. They are important because parts were taken separately and taken out of context. Most of the evidence is hearsay and the file cannot be based on them, but on concrete evidence," she said.
Kryemadhi emphasized that for public figures like her and Ilir Meta, influencing public opinion is very important. She called for more transparency in the process, suggesting that citizens be able to follow it.
"For people like us, public opinion is more important than your judgment. We are not ordinary people, but public figures. For one person who was dragged to Zvërnec, the entire public opinion rose, while the President was kidnapped by five police officers, two of whom have been arrested, and nothing happened."
"Since there are cameras, it would be good for citizens to also listen to this process and increase public trust. I cannot accept that pseudo-journalists obtain information from SPAK and use it to lynch us," declared Kryemadhi.
