The Ministry of Citizen Protection of Greece has published in the official circular notebook according to which Albanian immigrants will be allowed to pass freely with the blue certificate until December 31, 2024.
This circular overturns the previous one, according to which Greek Albanians would be prevented from moving after March 31, if they were awaiting the issuance or renewal of their residence permit.
The Albanian Embassy in Greece has clarified to all Albanians who are in the process of applying for equipment/re-equipment with a residence permit and who possess the relevant certification in the Republic of Greece.
"During the period 31/03/2024 to 31/12/2024, the exit to a third country, outside the Schengen member states, and the re-entry of citizens of third countries legally residing in Greece, holders of:
A valid proof of application for equipment for the first time or re-equipment with a residence permit, according to articles 10 and 11 of law no. 5038/2023 or
A valid special certificate of legal residence, according to Article 16 of Law no. 5038/2023, provided that they leave Greece within the aforementioned period and possess a valid passport or other travel document recognized by Greece.
This Decision benefits all Albanian citizens who are in the process of applying for equipment/re-equipment with a residence permit and who possess the relevant certification", says the announcement of the Albanian Embassy in Greece.
