As the civic protest continues for the 33rd consecutive day in front of the Prime Minister's Office, one of the most prominent voices of the rallies, Luçiana Kokaj, known as the "Rrjoll protester", called on citizens not to retreat after today's clashes with the police and to continue participating in the protest.
From the podium, Kokaj declared that protesters will not be afraid of violence or the use of tear gas, while he especially appealed to mothers to join the rallies together with their children.
" We are so many that we can show Rama, Balla and the incriminated MPs that they do not scare us with violence or tear gas. Let's continue here every day. All mothers, take your children and come to the square; you are their terror, you are their downfall ," declared Kokaj.
Following her speech, she praised the way in which, according to her, protesters have reacted over the past few weeks, emphasizing that the rallies have maintained their civic character.
" Violence did not work with us, because we have shown unparalleled citizenship. We have shown them that we fight their algorithm ," said Kokaj.
Her speech was greeted with applause by protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where the rally continues with calls against the government and organizers have warned that protests will continue in the coming days.
