On Friday afternoon, a powerful storm swept the city of Elbasan and a large part of the region, bringing heavy rain, hail, and strong winds.
The rain began at around 2:50 PM and within minutes the weather conditions changed significantly. Water pools formed in several areas of the city, while vehicle traffic slowed down due to limited visibility and flooding of several road segments.
Even pedestrian movement was made difficult by the intensity of the rainfall and hail. Strong winds added to the problems in some areas, affecting the daily activities of residents.
There are no reports of injuries so far. Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and drivers to exercise caution while driving, as the unstable weather continues.
The storm affected not only the city of Elbasan, but also other municipalities in the region, bringing an immediate change in the weather after a period of high temperatures.
