
Albanian politics, friends and colleagues have reacted to the passing of renowned publicist and journalist Artur Zheji, at the age of 64.
He lost his life today, while on vacation in Saranda with his family. Zheji was not feeling well and called an ambulance. It is suspected that he suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital without any signs of life.
The late Zheji was having lunch with his wife and son, while celebrating his son's birthday at a restaurant in Saranda.
Democrat Tritan Shehu has reacted to the sad news about the untimely passing of renowned Albanian journalist, Artur Zheji.
Through a post on his social network Facebook, Shehu expresses his deep regret for the journalist's death, while emphasizing that Zheji will be remembered as a correct journalist and humane citizen.
"Correct journalist, humane citizen in his traits and behaviors. Friendly and tolerant! My sincerest condolences to his family, Albanian journalism, the general public, friends, everyone! We will remember him as a role model!" , writes Tritan Shehu on Facebook.
Minister Taulant Balla also expressed his condolences for the passing of the journalist, publicist and show host, part of the Albanian screen and media for many years.
Artan Shkreli, a friend of Zheji, has also reacted to the sad news. Shkreli says that journalist Zheji was a bright mind and his passing was completely unexpected.
"Rest in eternal peace, friend. Hundreds and hundreds of unforgettable memories since, for three whole months in Gruemirë, we shared the bunk bed."
"A born warrior who never found his fight. A troubled and enlightened mind at the same time," Shkreli's reaction reads.
MP Edi Paloka also expressed his condolences to the family of Artur Zheji. Paloka wrote that a serious and professional journalist passed away today.

Analyst Ilir Demalia has reacted with sadness to the passing of Artur Zheji at the age of 64.
"Farewell my friend Artur Zheji. Rest in peace my friend. You broke our hearts very badly ," Demalia writes.
