After strong attacks from Prime Minister Edi Rama and part of the majority, Dritan Goxhaj spoke on the Pamphlet podcast "Të Pashoj", where he gave his version of the reasons why he has been placed at the center of political attacks in recent days.

Asked by journalist Edjona Dervishi why the Prime Minister chose him as a target, while the protesters' demands have been articulated earlier by many other participants, Goxhaj argues that the attack is related to the fact that for the first time the protest has presented a clear and official political platform. According to him, the majority is dealing with the person who read the demands and not with their content, attempting to avoid the debate on the essence of the protest.

Edjona Dervishi: Do you perhaps have your own analysis, perhaps even some information or a perception as to why the Prime Minister launched this attack specifically against you? Because everyone else has expressed these demands before in this protest.

Dritan Goxhaj: These demands have been previously expressed by people, by individuals who have been speakers there at the protest. So yes, but not in order, each one has given their own opinion. For this reason, the coordinating group, the coordinator of the protest, in the letter that I read, which they had prepared, says that it was drafted based on what the protesters have expressed in these 22 days of protest.

Edjona Dervishi: Exactly.

Dritan Goxhaj: So they were collected and made...

Edjona Dervishi: You were a repeater, we're saying.

Dritan Goxhaj: Exactly. I was repeating, but it was already an official stance of the protest. It was an official demand of this protest, which until now has not had, to be honest. We have all seen that there have been individual stances of different people, but an official stance of this protest, where it wants to go, what this protest really wants, why it is bringing people to the streets, this was the official stance.

And this official stance, given that it was within the constitutional framework, without any kind of violation, without any other kind of problem, without utopia or any other madness, puts the Prime Minister and anyone else in the majority or in the opposition facing an issue that has been unresolved for 35 years.

For this reason, they have already stood up and are dealing with the reader and not with the paper. So they are dealing with the messenger and not with the news. While they should be dealing with the news and not with the messenger.
