The SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office has filed a claim in court against several people who have exerted illegal influence on a judge in Korça, in order to reduce the security measure of a person who was in the prison of Drenova for the charge of "Giving help for illegal crossing of the border".

From the investigations, it was found that the citizens Nikolla Hafësllari, Nikolla Jesku, Blerand Kozici and Artiana Kozici, in cooperation with each other, gave the sum of 5000 Euros to Arben Lena and Dajana Kodra (Ninga), lawyers at the Korçë Bar Association.

While the latter have promised that they would exert illegal influence on the judge of the Korça Court of Appeal, in order to ease the procedural position of the prisoner.

Blerand Kozic was being investigated under the effect of the security measure "arrest in prison", by the Prosecutor's Office of Pogradec for the criminal offense "Aiding for the illegal crossing of borders".

The case in question was initiated by the Pogradec prosecutor's office, but then the latter announced its incompetence, passing it on to the SPAK special prosecutor's office for further investigations.

For this case, a few days ago, prosecutor Elvin Gokaj presented the final conclusions asking the Special Court to sentence Arben Lena, lawyer and President of the Chamber of Advocates in Korça, to 3 years in prison.

A guilty plea and a 1-year prison sentence have been requested for Nikolla Hafësllari, Dajana Kodra alias Ninga and Nikolla Jesku.

Eight months of imprisonment has been requested for Artiana Kozic, but the prosecution has changed its attitude towards this defendant, requesting the suspension of serving the prison sentence by placing her on probation for a period of 16 months.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office has requested a penalty of 2 million old lek for Dritan Tabak for the charge of "Disobeying the crime".

After giving the conclusions from the defense lawyers, it is expected that the Special Court will come out with a final decision about this file started years ago in the Pogradec prosecutor's office, where it will declare these defendants guilty or not.
