Democratic MP Tomor Alizoti met his colleague Ervin Salianji today in Fier prison.
With this visit, Alizoti remembered when he met his father in prison before the 1990s, as he says that history is repeating itself.
Among other things, he says that the "thieves of the renaissance" were in the cell together with Salianj, while he emphasized that the former democratic deputy was there as the clearest example of a political imprisonment.
Alizoti further writes that the political punishment of Salianj clearly shows their fear of the truth.

Today I was in Fier prison, paradoxically to meet my colleague and friend Ervin Salianji. I say paradoxically, because I was a visitor in prison in two eras. Before the 1990s, when my father was part of the enemies of the party, and today when my friend Salianji has been declared an enemy of the party. It is the same party and the same behavior. And the situation is a distortion.
Just as before the 1990s, Enver Hoxha should have been in prison for monstrous crimes, Edi Rama should also be in the cells of Fier prison today, for the thefts, crimes and his dirty governance of these twelve years.
And history repeats itself again and again, like a bell ringing in the ears of the citizens for change. Because in Fier prison, there were many friends of Edi Rama, criminal-strategic investors who had shared pieces of land with Edi Rama's firm in exchange for votes for the socialist party.
Former senior directors who had shared the theft of Albanian tax money with Edi Rama's ministers and had spent millions of euros to buy votes for the renaissance.
But all of them were sold by Edi Rama, the moment they became a problem for the party. The same as in Spaç and Qafë Bari, where the ministers of the Labor Party were also exiled, because at one point they had become a nuisance to Enver Hoxhen.
And together with them, the bureaucrats and members of the Central Committee, there were also the former political persecuted. The same situation came back to me when I met Salianji, imprisoned for violating the governance of Edi Rama. He was in prison with the renaissance thieves, even though he has not managed any public expenditure for a single second. He was there as the clearest example of a political imprisonment. And just like before 1990, he was there because power commands justice and whoever violates it will go to prison. Salianji will be released from the prison cell of Fier, just as Enver Hoxha's ex-persecutors were also released from the communist prisons. And this time, it will be certain that the one who deserves it the most, Edi Rama, will go to that cell. That is why I highly appreciate the attitude of my friend Salianji, from the denunciation of the drug traffickers who governed the police, to the insistence to stay until the end of the regime. His imprisonment clearly shows the power's fear of him.
