The protest held this Sunday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building was accompanied by statements critical of the government. A citizen, who spoke during the rally, demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, linking her demand to property policies, zoning and legislation that, according to her, has brought consequences for citizens.
In her speech to the protesters, she said that the government's decision-making has harmed the interests of citizens and the territory, while adding that the prime minister no longer enjoys her trust to represent the country.
The protester also focused on political developments over the years, but emphasized that, in her assessment, the current responsibility lies with the head of government.
During her statement, she demanded that Edi Rama resign, arguing that the laws passed by the government have negatively affected citizens. She also stated that she no longer considers him her prime minister and that the protesters no longer support him.
"Rama should leave for the areas he is giving to others! We are of one mind, he should resign. I say 'he' because Rama is no longer our prime minister! He has dragged us down with his laws! We don't want him anymore!", she declared in revolted tones in front of the crowd.
