Another strong-toned speech was delivered at the 37th day of the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where a protester called on citizens not to fall prey to provocations and to maintain the peaceful character of the movement.
Speaking from the podium, she stated that the success of the protest depends on avoiding any acts of violence, while describing the current system as an "oligarchic dictatorship."
" If we slide into violence, the mission of this protest, which demands the end of this transition, fails. This transition is an oligarchic dictatorship, it is of an oligarchy elevated to the level of an international mafia! And the head is the government itself ," declared the protester.
She stated that the protest has brought about a significant change in citizens' awareness and that the overthrow of the government should come as a result of civic resistance.
" The overthrow of Rama is the duty of the protest, not of the institutions that can be established in the name of the protest. After Rama is overthrown, then institutions should be established, even a protest assembly! This is the value that the protest brought ," she said.
The 37th day of the protest continues in front of the Prime Minister's Office with the participation of hundreds of citizens, who for more than a month have been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change in the political class. During the rally, chants of "Rama resign", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" and "The homeland is ours" continued, while the organizers have reiterated that the protest will remain peaceful.
