The British Embassy in Tirana has announced that from today the visa system for the United Kingdom will change completely. From February 25, visitors who need a visa to travel to the UK will only receive an electronic visa (eVisa). The old stickers that were attached to the passport will no longer be used.
The eVisa is a digital visa that is linked to your passport and can be viewed online in your account on the official gov.uk website. To get an eVisa you need to create a simple account at www.gov.uk/eVisa . According to the embassy, this change makes the process faster, safer and easier for everyone.
The embassy advises that if you are planning a trip to Britain, apply early and check the new procedure to avoid problems.
