Former soldier, Artur Meçollari, has called for the US Embassy's warning to be taken seriously regarding attacks that groups linked to Iran may carry out in our country.
Meçollari said that the Embassy specified that groups linked to Iran are in our country and could carry out terrorist attacks.
"The embassy makes these warnings based on intelligence information and law enforcement institutions. There is an office in the embassy that has a chief of information, which means that the information is not what the prime minister says ," he stressed.
Further, the former soldier said that the government is making a mistake by not evaluating this information.
"The Embassy's warning was clear. Especially the first sentence, where it specified that they are groups linked to Iran, which means that they are not Iranian groups, but are groups stationed in Albania. Second, the announcement implies that we are not dealing with a genuine military act, with missiles, but with a terrorist act. And third, it specified what the possible targets of these groups are. You see, it is not a general warning, but a specific one.
The Embassy makes these warnings based on intelligence and law enforcement information. There is an office in the Embassy that has a chief of information, which means that the information is not what the Prime Minister says. So the information cannot only be from Albania, but may also have come from abroad.
