DP marches through the streets of Tirana, the crowd returns to the "Martyrs

The Democratic Party protesters have changed direction, marching towards the Presidency, after encountering two roadblocks set up by the State Police during their march in Tirana. They have returned to the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

Initially, the protesters attempted to march towards the Tirana Police Directorate, but were stopped by police cordons that blocked their advance. Later, another blockade was set up near the former Blloku area, preventing protesters from approaching the villa of former dictator Enver Hoxha.

The opposition protest began in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, where tensions were high from the very beginning. Some protesters threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at the government building, while police intervened with tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.

The protest then turned into a march in several points in the capital, including the Socialist Party headquarters and other institutional areas, where sporadic incidents and clashes with law enforcement were reported.

The movement of protesters on several axes of the city and the constant change of route indicate a dynamic protest, accompanied by tensions and police intervention at key points.

The deviation towards the Presidency comes after the inability to advance on two of the march's previous objectives, shifting the focus of the rally towards another central institution.
