The State Police has increased security measures ahead of the start of the next opposition protest, which is expected to begin at 6:00 p.m. Around 1,500 officers have been deployed to ensure order and the smooth running of the rally.
Metal barriers have been installed at several key points in the capital, including the Prime Minister's Office and Parliament buildings. Metal fences have also been installed around the Namazgja mosque.
Meanwhile, numerous police and fire forces have been placed on standby, as part of a plan of measures that remains similar to that of previous protests.
So far, the scenarios that will be followed during the protest have not been made clear. However, as with the last rally, no speeches are expected, as a podium has not been set up.
Authorities call on citizens to respect the rules and avoid any incidents during the protest.
