A fight breaks out in KLP, Bazaj: SPAK is investigating the Magistrate, history

The first meeting of the KLP under the leadership of the new president, Mirela Bogdani, started with strong debates, highlighting once again the division that exists within the members.

Everything started after Bogdani read the agenda, which included the verification of the wealth of some candidates who won the last Magistrate's exam, ready to be appointed prosecutors.

The vice president of the KLP, Bazaj, said that the verification procedure should be postponed because SPAK has a criminal report against the School of Magistrates and the BKH has started investigations. But first Arta Mandro and then the majority of KLP members came against his request, rejecting his request.

Mirela Bogdani: On the agenda we have the project for the beginning of the verification procedures and assets of all candidates to be admitted to the initial training program of the magistracy school.

Tartar Bazaj: I will focus on item 21 of the agenda, where it is about the discussion of the project to start the procedures for verifying the assets of some candidates to be admitted to the initial training program of the magistracy school for the academic year 2024-2025. It is a hot potato as the director of the Magistrate's school has been summoned these days. As far as I know, a criminal report has been filed with the SPAK and I know that the BKH has started to carry out verifications. This is not our part, but it is a matter that is being talked about as a scandal. I would never want it to be like that, but the director of the magistracy school has been anathematized, without discussing his personality because I don't want to say that he was the general prosecutor dismissed by the Parliament, but a very hot issue is discussed.

Even this matter should have been at least in an informal meeting where some things should have been discussed that should not have been part of this plenary meeting because we have been 'backed up', we have nothing to do. We, as a commission, are obliged to accept as it is the list that he brought to us, but what was done, how the first list was announced, how after a few days the second list was announced, how after a few days it was announced the third list and from 79 went to 131. So without discussing a list of names which evil mouths said "the list with so many names has won" and that's how it actually turned out, there are many coincidences. It would be in the honor of this council to show what is due because at the end of the day we are paid by the taxes of this country. At the end of the day, hundreds of millions of dollars and euros are wasted on this investment. We should not work behind the backs of these friendly countries that have invested and received from their countries' taxes for this reform. I think this point should at least be removed.

Arta Mandro: I come from the Magisterial School and I cannot be indifferent to a concern raised by Mr. Bazaj. I know the School of Magistracy thoroughly and I know the pedagogical and administrative staff of the School thoroughly. Olgeri (one of the winning candidates) would not be here today if it were not for this school of Magistrates, but like Olgeri, many others. It is an institution that works as an excellent Omega sehat with all due care to select on the basis of an internationally certified process for the best. The fact that the School is in this situation is not because of the School, but because of Scantron and we are very clear about that. Neither the director of the graduate school, nor myself, nor anyone else is left to stick with the scantrons to fix any petty self-interest if that is the problem. I guarantee with my full conviction that such things never happen in the Magistrate's school and I am a witness of all the seriousness of that institution starting with our close people and I pray that this cacophony does not become an object of abuse. I think it is important for us who are part of this institution.

Nurihan Seiti: If we don't have before our desks, whether or not a criminal case has started, we will start now in the morning and I don't know when we will finish. We have only one option, to continue the meeting of the Council today, considering that some acts did not arrive on time, or to stick to Mr. Hoda's request that since the acts did not arrive procedurally on time, we postpone it.

Tartar Bazaj: I have respect for the professor (director Arta Mandros), but there are hundreds of families, there are hundreds of students... I know that this week they called the director of the School of Magistracy to account for this situation. We cannot close our eyes. I've been pitching it for years and it seemed incredible, but here it is.

Arta Mandro: It is a lie.

Tartar Bazaj: Please, Mrs. Mandro. When you spoke, I didn't say it was a lie. I have my reservations, but I didn't say it was a lie. We don't have this problem, other institutions have it.

Ledina Riza: I wish we don't have discussions of this nature anymore.

Tartar Bazaj: Should I believe in a person who receives letters and does not return answers, a person who is not transparent, a person who does not give students who apply to get to know their exams. Without discussing the fact that this person was anathematized by the Assembly of Albania, out of millions of Albanians who voted, he was anathematized and dismissed. This is how Mrs. Mandro is when she lies. We cannot remain silent because history will condemn us.

Vatë Staka: There may have been claims about the master's school exam, but there is one thing. Arben Rakipi was dismissed from the Parliament in 2002, but was reinstated by the decision of the Constitutional Court. Due to the non-implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court, the Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Namik Dokle, has resigned. We have had a General Prosecutor. If there are two institutions that the Albanian people should be proud of, it is the School of Magistrates and SPAK. I have a lot of respect for the Graduate School.
