The vice-president of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, said that former President Ilir Meta was kidnapped and raped by the Police Operational Forces.
Blushi said that Ilir Meta was hit on the head during the arrest by police agents.
"Mr. Meta was raped, he was hit on the head. Film footage shows it best. He was hit in the head by these thugs."
But Tedi Blushi said that for hours they did not know where Ilir Meta was after the arrest and then called the director of the Tirana Police.
In fact, Blushi raised doubts that maybe there was an attempt to eliminate Meta.
"He was hit on the head by these thugs, who suddenly blocked his way, kidnapped him, and neither his family members, nor the officials of the Freedom Party, nor the Guard officers knew for hours where Mr. Meta. I personally contacted Toni Vocaj because we didn't know where he was, we thought it was a criminal act. Even Vocaj didn't know at first, then he informed us, he said they brought me to the Directorate of Tirana. This is a political kidnapping, which had, I suspect, maybe the physical elimination of Mr. Meta". - said Meta in Opinion.
