Argita Malltezi Berisha was invited today to Top Story on Top Channel where she talked about the arrest of her husband Jamarbër Malltezi and the open file of her father, Sali Berisha.
Asked by journalist Robert Rakipllari why he did not react to other issues such as "January 21" or "Gërdeci", Argita said:
"This is a matter stripped of substance. A reaction to those situations was not expected from me as I was not a public person. These are events that haunt the political course and political development of a country. But man must be accountable to God and the law. Regarding the matter of Gërdec, it is something that hurts my heart".
In Albania there has been a lot of corruption and there has been very little punishment, justice has been commanded by politics. That's why justice was reformed so that there would be investigations in this country and the untouchables would be affected...
"I disagree. Albania, like any country in transition, has had problems with corruption. But with Rama's government, there was rampant corruption. It was not at these levels in 2013," she said.
