Liburn Aliu, former Minister of Infrastructure in the "Kurti 2" Government, is expected to be appointed to the position of director of the Port of Durres.
It is learned that Aliu was appointed director by decision of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
Liburn Aliu resigned from his ministerial position on August 27 of this year, just one day after Dimal Basha was elected Speaker of Parliament.
In a post over the summer, Aliu contested Basha's election as head of the Assembly and emphasized that it was the main reason for his resignation.
Liburn Aliu is one of the founders of Vetëvendosje and for many years one of the closest people to Albin Kurti, the leader of LVV and the acting Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo.
He served for more than four years as Minister of Infrastructure in the Kurti 2 Government.
