Long periods of sunshine will give way to clouds and light rain this weekend.
This is what forecaster Hakil Osmani from "MeteoAlb" has stated about the weather forecast.
'Friday remains under the dominance of frequent clouds, where it is predicted that during the afternoon hours we will have temporary developments, creating opportunities for few moments with rain drops mainly in the central areas and in the eastern areas. The evening brings an improvement in the weather conditions, causing this improvement to continue during the morning of Saturday, bringing long intervals with clearing, light passages of clouds. It is predicted that on Saturday, the clouds will be more visible in the second part of the day and mainly focused on the mountainous areas.
As for Sunday, frequent clouds will continue to be present throughout our country, where the most focused are expected to be in the northern areas, creating opportunities for few moments with isolated rain, but it is predicted that part of the second of the day will bring developments of clouds that are expected to generate rain, not only in the mountainous areas, but also in the central ones. Rainfall, which in the late hours of the evening is expected to be in the southern areas as well, causing the entire Albanian territory to pass under the dominance of unstable weather and rain, he said.
Despite the clouds and rain, temperatures will continue to remain high during the weekend, with maximums of 21 or 22 degrees Celsius in low-lying cities.
'Today we will have maximums that will be recorded at 22 degrees Celsius on the coastline. Also, maximums of 20 or 21 degrees Celsius will be recorded in the cities of the low area, including the capital. Saturday will continue to have high temperatures, where the most sensitive, it is expected that we will have an increase in them in the early hours of the morning. Maximums remain at 22 degrees Celsius. As for Sunday, the temperatures remain constant in the early hours of the morning, causing the mountain areas to be at the value of 2 or 3 degrees Celsius, while in the Western Lowlands from 6 to 12 degrees Celsius. As for the midday hours, it is expected that we will have a drop of 1 degree Celsius.', Osmani said.
