The increase in cases of patients seeking medical help at the Kukës regional hospital has increased significantly. Children are the most affected, and the reason is the temperature fluctuations of these days.
A problem that doctors often encounter is that parents avoid the family doctor and immediately go to the pediatric emergency room. According to them, this is wrong for a simple virus that passes even in home conditions.
Doctor Emin Ferati says that if children's temperatures last for several days, then we should seek the help of a doctor.
"I call on parents to bring their children to the emergency room only when they have complications. Like when he's been vomiting for 2 or 3 days", appeals the doctor.
Doctors say that the greatest care is needed for children in the first year of life. More than 100 small patients received services in the Kukës hospital during the last 24 hours.
