An apartment adapted as a business on the first floor of a building in Gjirokastër caught fire, risking spreading to other apartments.
The fire broke out after midnight, around 02:00 in the area of the "11 Janari" neighborhood.
The smoke and flames caused panic among the residents of the building who called for the help of firefighters and tried to put out the flames, avoiding the spread to the rest of the building.
It is suspected that the cause of the fire was an electrical spark in the premises that was used as a trading unit.
